A recent graduate from the Royal College of Art, Sobhani has been exploring through paint the subconscious by applying and erasing the surface until a lyrical abstracted composition feels resolved. Main influences are the women artists affiliated with The Surrealist Movement, Disney cartoons and vintage story books, Persian Miniature paintings, Pre Raphelite paintings, Monet, Vuillard and Cy Twombly to name but a few.
